◆ AUCTION ASSAY

About this tool & the honest fine print — private beta

What this is

Auction Assay is an advisory research tool. It watches public online auctions in the region, gathers listings into one place, and points out lots that might be worth a closer look. Think of it as a well-read friend who scans the catalogs overnight — not a broker, appraiser, or bidding service.

Auction Assay never bids for you.

Every bid, every purchase, and every pickup happens on the auction house's own site, under their terms, by you. We place no bids, hold no funds, and take no cut of anything you buy or sell.

Estimates & their limits

Some values shown here are unverified estimates produced from listing photos and text. They can be wrong — sometimes very wrong. A "resale estimate" is a starting point for your own research, not a promise of what something will sell for.

Before you bid on anything, verify for yourself:

Suggested maximum bids are math on top of those same estimates. They inherit every limitation above.

Restricted items

Auctions routinely include things that carry legal or safety obligations: firearms and ammunition, titled vehicles, alcohol, chemicals, medical items, and more. When we detect these we flag them and never auto-price them — but detection is imperfect. If you bid on a restricted item, the licenses, transfers, titles, and safe handling are entirely your responsibility. When in doubt, ask the auction house before bidding, not after winning.

Photos & links

Lot photos load directly from the auction house's own website — we don't copy or re-host their images. Every lot links back to its auctioneer's original listing, and that listing page is the authoritative record: if anything here disagrees with it, the auction house is right.

Beta limitations

This is a private beta run by one person. Coverage has gaps, scrapers break when auction sites change, data can lag behind live bidding, and features may change or disappear without notice. Nothing here is financial, legal, or investment advice, and availability is not guaranteed. Use it as one input among several — never as the only reason to bid.

Feedback

Spotted a bad estimate, a broken page, or a lot we should never have shown? Please say so — the feedback box inside the app goes straight to the owner, and it genuinely shapes what gets fixed next. That's the deal of the beta: you get early access, we get your honest corrections.
